Celanie Ball
Director

Coming from a farming background with a love of plants and horticulture, Celanie joined James Ball & Sons in 1972 and later developed Lovania Nurseries with Keith and his father Len.

Celanie has studied at Myerscough College, and also at Liverpool University where she gained an Honours Degree in Biology and Education specialising in Botany.

Charmay Prout

Charmay joined Lovania full time in 2009 after spending two years working for a multiple retailer where she managed the supply of fresh produce.  Prior to this she gained a 2:1 Honours Degree in Business Management at The University of Manchester and has been involved with the family business since a very early age (see pram on the Our History page!).

Charmay now manages the day to day running of Lovania and is one of the main point of contacts for some of Lovania’s largest customers.  She is also involved with developing new products and further developing Lovania's customer base.

David joined the Lovania Group in 2007 as the Financial Controller. He deals with all financial and administrational planning with the company and is a key member of the Senior Management Team.

Lee Chambers
Garden Centre Sales Operations Manager

Lee joined the team as Garden Centre Sales Operations Manager in July 2009. Bringing over 15 years experience dealing with independents and large garden centre chains, Lee is responsible for the Garden Centre sales orders, transport and making sure customer service is maintained.

As well as selling Lovania’s existing product lines, Lee’s main responsibility is to successfully establish the Alpine division of the company.

Rick McKeever
Sales and Marketing Manager

Rick joined Lovania Nurseries as Garden Centre Sales Manager in August 2009 to continue the growth of the UK’s leading plant producer into the Alpine sector.

Rick has over 13 years experience in dealing with Garden centres and national chains. He is also responsible for general management and training of UK sales merchandisers.

Kate Riley
Product Development Manager

Kate joined Lovania Nurseries initially as the Key Account Manager in 2008, as the company evolved Kate took on the role of Product Development Manager, working to develop new product offerings and further improve existing lines. She is also responsible for the management of our trials and works hard to constantly improve our ranges and keep them current.

Kate studied at the University of Central Lancashire, were she gained an honors degree in Marketing and Economics. Prior to working for Lovania she was with Syngenta Flowers in a marketing and business development role.

Paul Rossington
Purchasing Manager

Paul joined Lovania in December 2007 following a career in commercial and retail horticulture. He has a degree in Horticulture from the University of Central Lancashire.

Paul is responsible for purchasing, liaising with suppliers and production planning. He is also a contact for a number of Lovanias customers.

Simon Ingham
Assistant Product Manager

Simon joined Lovania in February 2011 to primarily manage the growth of new and existing customer accounts. He is directly responsible for developing our retail accounts and expanding their product range. He also assists with the purchasing side of the business, liaising with suppliers and working to improve our raw material supply efficiencies.

Simon has over 5 years previous experience in the Garden Centre industry and has a passion and enthusiasm for the horticultural industry.
